First Curtain Wall Unit Hoisting Ceremony of JANGHO for Jeddah Tower

On 30 November 2025, a major milestone has been achieved at the Jeddah Tower project in Saudi Arabia, with the successful installation of its first curtain wall unit. The façade construction—undertaken by JANGHO for what will become the world’s first supertall tower exceeding one kilometre in height—has officially commenced, marking a new phase in the project’s development.

At the installation ceremony, representatives from Turner, the clients’s management company; the Saudi Binladin Group (SBG), the project’s main contractor; Jangho Curtain Wall; and DAR, the project consultant, jointly witnessed this significant moment. Following the command, a unit measuring 1.5 m × 5.3 m and weighing 450 kg was hoisted smoothly and positioned with precision at the predetermined location on 18th floor, approximately 73.95 m above ground. The well-coordinated and efficient lifting process demonstrated the project team’s exceptional technical competence and stringent operational standards.
 

Situated along the Red Sea coastline, Jeddah Tower is set to become the first man-made structure in history to surpass the 1,000-meter threshold. Its reconstruction officially resumed in 2024, and in June 2025, JANGHO secured the façade subcontract through the comprehensive technical and operational capabilities.
