Mr. Warwick Smith, Chairman of Australia-China Council met Liu Zaiwang, Chairman of Board of Jangho Group in Sydney, Australia on July 5th. Both sides held talks in a cordial and friendly atmosphere.
\Mr. Smith warmly welcomed Liu Zaiwang and briefed him on various functions of Australia-China Council and its important role in promoting Sino-Australia diplomacy, economy, education, science, art and cultural exchanges, etc.

Mr. Liu introduced on the hard start-up years of Jangho Group and its current development of diversification and internationalization. He said, Australia is an early oversea market of Jangho Group; in the early years, the business in Australia has focused on curtain walls and now starts to shift to the investment on medical treatment: in July 2015, the Group purchased Vision, the largest chain eye hospital in Australia, and then in the next year, it bought in through the secondary market the 15.93% stock equity of Primary, one of the four major blue chip medical company in Australia, and became its first majority shareholder. These have made Australia an important oversea investment market for the Group. Currently, Jangho Group is actively exploring how to extend famous Australia brands and businesses to the countries and areas along “the Belt and Road”, especially the Chinese market and to enhance them in these countries and areas.

Mr. Smith congratulated Jangho Group on the investments and achievements in Australia and spoke highly of the strategic layout of its medical treatment business in Australia and China. He said that the investment Jangho Group made in Australia is not only in favor of mutual trust and brand value increasing of Chinese and Australian enterprises, but also benefits the cultural exchanges between both countries. He believed this would better accommodate the welfare of the two peoples. He also indicated that Australia has the world-leading medical technologies and services, which, with efforts and deep cooperation of both sides, would provide Jangho Group with a bigger development space in the medical industry in China and Australia; he is willing to provide necessary help and support for the Group’s development in Australia even along “the Belt and Road”.

Mr. Liu appreciated Mr. Smith’s profound feelings toward China and thanked him for his support to Jangho Group.

Besides, both sides exchanged their opinions about global economic and trade situation, Sino-Australia investment environment and influence of Australian brands, etc. and further discussed their follow-up cooperation.
