Largest Irregular Curved Curtain Wall Project in China -- Mei Xihu International

Masterpiece “the Blooming Flower”
Designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, Mei Xihu International Cultural & Artistic Center will be the future icon in Hunan Province and even all over China. The curtain wall package was undertaken by Jangho Curtain Wall and the appearance of the project looks like a “blooming flower” .
Located at Section1,01, the southwest corner on the junction of Jieqing Road and Mei Sihu North Roads, Mei Xihu Area, Xiangjiang District in Changsha City, the project was developed by Changsha Mei Xihu Industrial Company Ltd. With 2 billion RMB investment. It is 88080 square meters, the total construction area amountsto 125936 square meters, including a 35000 sqm opera and two 25000 sqm artistic functional halls. The opera is composed by a main hall of 1800 seats and theater of 500 seats, the artistic center is composed by 12 show room, each room taking up 10000 sqm.
Challenge Curtain Wall Extreme, Build Up Iconic “venue” Project
The outer elevation and the surface of Mei Xihu International Cultural & Artistic Center is composed by free curved curtain wall, due to the curved surface, water leaking problem is difficult to resolve which shortens the lifespan of the surface. This project tries to adopt anti-leaking tests, if successful, it will tackle the technical difficulty in engineering industry and promote the design and manufacture level for GRC.
